Ringbloom Privacy Policy

The short version

Ringbloom has no accounts or ads. It uses AppsFlyer for advertising attribution and PostHog for product analytics, including which screens and controls people use and how they interact with the Flower Show purchase screen. If you choose to send feedback, Ringbloom also sends that anonymous message to our shared feedback service.

What we collect

AppsFlyer receives app and device information when Ringbloom opens, including app version, device model, operating system, language, network information, an AppsFlyer installation identifier, Apple’s identifier for vendors (IDFV), and an approximate location derived from the IP address. It also receives install and session activity.

AppsFlyer may also receive limited performance information, such as launch timing or battery information, for fraud detection and service measurement.

After a verified purchase of Complete Flower Show, Ringbloom sends a purchase event containing the product identifier, StoreKit transaction identifier, the transaction’s localised price or revenue, and its ISO currency code. Duplicate StoreKit updates and ordinary restores do not create another purchase event on the same installation.

PostHog receives an anonymous installation identifier and technical information such as app version, device model, operating system, language and network type. Ringbloom sends named app screens and controls, Garden and Flower Show progress, turn outcomes, hint and undo use, and game outcomes. Ringbloom disables PostHog’s GeoIP enrichment, so PostHog does not add city, postcode, coordinates or other location fields to these events.

For the Flower Show purchase screen, PostHog receives how the screen was reached, the target class where relevant, whether the product was available, actions such as purchase, restore, close or keep playing free, how long the screen was visible, and the purchase or restore outcome. PostHog does not receive a StoreKit transaction identifier, payment details, the game board, typed text, a screen recording, a name or an email address.

If you press Send in the feedback form, we receive the message, your chosen feedback category, where you opened the form, a one-off submission reference, the Ringbloom app version and build, your operating-system version and locale. No email, account ID, advertising identifier or persistent device identifier is included. Please do not put personal information in your message.

How we use and share it

We use this information for attribution, campaign measurement, product analytics, improving gameplay and the purchase experience, and fraud prevention. AppsFlyer is Ringbloom’s mobile attribution provider. Where we advertise through a partner such as TikTok, AppsFlyer may send that partner install and purchase postbacks for traffic attributed to that partner. PostHog is Ringbloom’s product analytics provider and is not used to send advertising postbacks.

Ringbloom uses AppsFlyer’s Strict iOS SDK. It does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt, and does not use this information for personalised ads or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites. Ringbloom does not include the TikTok SDK.

PostHog session replay, automatic element capture, surveys and user identification are disabled. Ringbloom sends only the explicit product events described above.

Feedback is used to understand problems, improve Ringbloom and help plan what comes next. It is not used for advertising or tracking, and feedback text is not sent to PostHog or AppsFlyer.

What stays on your device

Your best score, highest garden, tutorial state, and sound and haptic preferences are stored only on your device. If you delete the app, iOS deletes that local data with it.

Purchases

Payment is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your card or bank details. We receive only the purchase event described above.

Children

Ringbloom does not ask for a name, age, email address or account. The AppsFlyer and PostHog processing described above occurs when the app runs.

Service provider and retention

AppsFlyer processes this information on our behalf under its Services Privacy Policy. AppsFlyer may process data in countries outside your own and retains it according to its agreement with us and applicable law.

PostHog processes product analytics on our behalf in its EU Cloud environment under its Privacy Policy. PostHog retains it according to its agreement with us and applicable law.

Anonymous feedback is stored in our shared Neon database until we delete it. The feedback service does not store the request IP address or anonymous access token with the message. There is no reply channel attached to a submission, so we cannot respond to individual feedback.

Your choices

You can stop future measurement by deleting Ringbloom. Sending feedback is optional, and you can turn off proactive feedback reminders in Settings without removing the permanent feedback form. To ask about access, deletion or another privacy right, contact us below. Because Ringbloom has no account, we may need an AppsFlyer or PostHog installation identifier and device information to locate an analytics record. Anonymous feedback may not be identifiable as yours unless you provide its one-off submission reference.

Changes

We will update this page before a version with materially different data practices ships.
